Why do an internship?

Work placements are an invaluable learning experience for students from all academic disciplines. Placements are not administrative support for the workplace, so interns do not spend all of their time answering phones, photocopying, or making coffee (though some of these tasks may be required occasionally). All internships are project-based, meaning that students will work on a specific project for the duration of the internship. Assessment will vary according to the project being undertaken, and will usually relate to the work project.

Students gain invaluable insight not only into their fields of study, but into the Australian business and cultural environment. We hope that students will become a part of the workplace and learn more about Australian people and practices.

An Internship will be a valuable addition to your resume, potentially improving your employment opportunities upon graduation.
